Birthday book

I have made a couple of birthday books in the past but for this one I decided to go simple and small. I dont know why I find doing "simple" so hard but sometimes doing simple is not easy to do for me.

Super easy paper flowers

I have been making a lot of these flowers lately, they are super easy to make. You just punch out six scallop circles and spray both sides with water. Then you crinkle them all up, next you flatten them out and stack them together. Using a punch, you punch a whole in the middle of the pile, and add a brad. Then you just scrunch them together to make them look like a flower. After they dry for awhile they become hard and you can add them to your projects. I know this isnt a very good tutorial I suck at giving directions,lol, but if you do a search there are plenty of great tutorials out there telling you how to make these.

Notebooks are so fun to make!

I have so much fun making notebooks and journals especially since I got the Cinch. I LOVE my Cinch!!! If you dont have one you really need to invest in one! The Cinch makes it so easy to whip together a notebook or journal. The only drawback that I have found is that I cant get it to work with odd shapes but that might just be user error.

I love how this turned out!!

This is my favorite book that I have made in awhile and when I started it I really had no idea how it was going to turn out. All I knew was that I had a ton of Grunge paper that I wanted to start using. I cut the shape out using the Top Note Die from Stampin Up. Then I sprayed it with Vintage Photo distress ink. I took a small strip and used a polka dot folder on it then sprayed it with Chipped Sapphire distressed ink. The saying is from a TH stamp set. I really hope that the person that I made this for likes it because she usually dosent go for the distressed look.

Bookmarks

I think that bookmarks make a great gift for anyone who loves reading. I tend to keep them pretty simple because I know that I hate it when the bookmarks are so bulky they make marks in my books.

I love making magnets!

My friend Crystal turned me on to making these, now I do it for everyone I can. I decided to make some of the glass ones this time instead of just sticking with the bottle cap ones. This time I had major issues when I was making them, I must have thrown out at least six of the bottle caps and probably two of the glass ones before I got things to work for me. For some reason no matter what I tried, the red ink kept running when I added the Glossy Effects to it. I have made these many times and have not had this issue before. If you have any tips PLEASE let me know what you do to keep the ink from running!

I also decided to make a little box for them this time. I cut it out using the Cricut cartridge Wild Cards then I stamped some vellum and taped it to the top so the box was a little fancier.

4X4 card

I have not been in the mood to make cards lately but today for some reason I actually enjoyed making one. It was only a 4x4 card but it literately just took me 5 minutes to make it! The saying I had from a card candy swap so that really sped things up. I am really happy with how this turned out, I hope my card mojo stays with me for awhile,lol.
