Altered Jar

As a last minute gift to my FIL I took a jar and filled it with candy. I didnt want it to be so plain so I added some Green Bay Packer colors, I love how this came out!!

Pamela was the birthday girl in the birthday club this month.  She said she liked Christmas decorations and she has a little girl so I thought that this project would be something they both would enjoy.

12 Days of Christmas swap Day 12: Free Day

Cindy and I had the same idea for this day,lol, we both got 12x12 paper stacks for each other.

For day 11 I choose Christmas past, I altered an embroidery hoop and added a vintage looking Santa Claus picture to it.

Cindy made me an altered box for keeping Christmas memories in from year to year. I love this idea!!!!

12 Days of Christmas swap Day 10: Make Me Smile

When I think of making me smile I think of family so I made Cindy an altered frame that she can put a picture of her family in.

Cindy made me a canvas that has crayons on the bottom that were melted to make them look like grass and flower stems, I might have to steal this idea.

12 Days of Christmas swap Day 9: Stocking Stuffers

For day 9 I bought a stocking and stuffed it full of craft goodies.

 Cindy also got me a stocking filled with goodies.

For day 8 I decorated a jar and filled it with Cindys favorite candy,Kit Kats. I cant seem to find my picture of it,sorry


Cindy gave me an altered bottle filled with peanut M&Ms. I had to fight my son over theses lol.

12 Days of Christmas swap Day 7: Colors of the Season

For day 5 I made a Christmas tree. I used 3 different sized pots and painted them green, then I made swirls with Stickles. I was going to leave it at that but then I decided it needed more bling so I added some little crystals. I had a hard time with the star because nothing wanted to stay on top of it. I finally found a star at Walmart in the Christmas section that worked perfectly.

Cindy bought me the TH Seasonal Distress pad Set!!!!!! I wanted this so bad!!!!!

For day 5 I got Cindy some ornaments to decorate her tree with.

Cindy made me these beautiful altered dominoes. I saw some of these on her Facebook page and was so hoping I would get some!!

For Day 4 I made Cindy a winter themed mini album. She said that she dosent scrapbook so I thought this would be a nice way to pull her in to the scrappin world,lol.

Cindy made me a pretty altered frame with a holiday saying in it, I really like this!!!

A gift for my niece

My niece asked me to make a notebook that was pink and had her name on it. She is only 7 so I made one that is really simple.

For Day 3 I made Cindy a holiday frame, I liked this so much I almost kept it for myself,lol.

Cindy made me a pretty cookie sheet memo board with some snowflake magnets. I have made these before but I never thought of doing the edges with alcohol ink, I am going to have to try this next time.

For Day 2 I altered a box and made some organza flowers. Thank you Crystal for getting me into making these flowers they were fun to make!

From Cindy I got two Iris photo containers, these have so many uses besides using them for photos!

12 Days of Christmas swap Day 1: Distress

For Day 1 of the swap I made my partner Cindy a lazy Susan type pic holder. I painted it and inked the edges. Then I glued on some of my vintage looking buttons and added a string of pearls. I hope she liked it!

 Cindy sent me TH Distress Stain, I love this stuff!!

My Christmas cards are done,yay!!!

It took me forever to figure out what to do for Christmas cards this year. At one point I was even thinking of just buying some because I was so stressed about what to make. I finally got a great idea on Split Coast Stampers and I am very happy with how these came out.

Thanksgiving Cards

These are the Thanksgiving day cards that I came up with for my son to give the local nursing home. I used the Close to My Heart stamp set Natures Vein to create the background, I love this set. Then I printed out the saying using the computer, this design came to me as a last minute idea and it worked out beautifully.

Owl B-day card

I made this card awhile ago for my nieces birthday. I used Create a Critter cart for the owl ,isn't he a cutie, and I used a quick cuts embossing folder for the background.The Happy Birthday stamp is from Paper Trey Ink. I really like how this turned out!

Our first snow of the season

It snowed so much that you could barely see these two when they were playing in it and then they pouted like little kids when I made them come in. They are such cuties!!

Halloween Crafting at my house

These are some of the projects that I did with my nephews and niece when they spent the weekend before Halloween at my house. They had such a blast adding the bling and gluing things together, I love crafting with them!!!!

Its been forever since I have posted!

I have not felt like I really have had much to post because I haven't been doing a lot of crafting!! I did do a little of Halloween crafting some of it was because I wanted to and some was because I had no choice. Wow reading over my last sentence makes me realize how bad its been. I have loved crating before now when I do it I only do it when I am forced to. I have to change that and get back to my happy place!!

Ok here are that Halloween cards that I made for my friends and family this year. I used Happy Hauntings for the ghost and because I was to lazy to get my Big Shot out to add texture to the card I just used a sponge to add ink so that it looked like it was textured a little.
